Position Overview
 
Safe Tax is seeking a confident, sales-driven General Manager to lead one of our corporate tax offices for the upcoming tax season.
 
This is more than a supervisory position. General Managers take ownership of their office, lead and develop their team, drive performance, maintain operational standards, and create an exceptional experience for every client.
 
We’re looking for leaders who are comfortable with accountability, motivated by results, and capable of performing in a fast-paced environment.
 
Prior tax experience is not required. Leadership experience is. 
 
Compensation
 
Flat Rate: General Managers receive a guaranteed flat rate of $1,000 per week during the tax season.
Performance-Based Earnings: General Managers are also eligible for additional compensation through a performance-based commission and bonus structure.

Managers have the opportunity to increase their seasonal earnings by meeting and exceeding established office performance goals.
 
Full details regarding commissions, bonuses, performance incentives, and additional earning opportunities will be reviewed with qualified candidates during the interview process.
 
Mandatory Leadership Training
 
All corporate General Managers, including new hires, are required to attend Safe Tax Annual Leadership Training in Orlando, Florida, November 9–15, 2026.
 
Attendance for the full training period is mandatory.
 
General Managers attending Leadership Training will receive a per diem, and lodging accommodations will be provided for approved out-of-town attendees.
 
Additional training and travel details will be provided to selected candidates prior to the training period.
 
What You’ll Own
 
  • Lead, coach, and motivate a team of tax professionals
  • Establish clear expectations and maintain accountability
  • Identify performance gaps and coach employees toward improvement
  • Build a professional, competitive, and team-oriented office culture
  • Oversee daily office operations and execution
  • Maintain compliance with Safe Tax policies and procedures
  • Communicate consistently with Safe Tax HQ and Employee Relations regarding staffing, performance, and client concerns
  • Review documentation and reporting for accuracy and funding integrity
Drive Performance & Delivery the Safe Tax Experience
 
  • Monitor key office metrics, including client volume, funding rates, and average preparation fees
  • Develop strategies to improve individual and overall office performance
  • Recognize strong performers and proactively address performance concerns
  • Take ownership of office results throughout the season
  • Maintain a professional, welcoming, client-first environment
  • Resolve client concerns professionally and efficiently
  • Protect confidential client information
  • Build trust that encourages referrals and repeat business
Who We’re Looking For
 
Our strongest candidates will have:
 
  • Proven leadership or management experience
  •  Experience in a fast-paced, high-volume, sales, retail, hospitality, financial services, or performance-driven environment
  • Strong communication and people-management skills
  • Confidence coaching employees and holding teams accountable
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Comfort working with technology, reporting platforms, and performance metrics
  • Professionalism, reliability, adaptability, and sound judgment
  • A competitive, entrepreneurial mindset and desire to achieve measurable results
Tax preparation experience is a plus but not required.
 
Training & Support
 
We don’t expect you to walk in knowing the tax industry.
 
Safe Tax provides comprehensive training covering tax preparation, client service, compliance, office operations, leadership expectations, and performance management.
 
General Managers also receive ongoing coaching and support from the corporate team throughout the tax season.
 
Schedule
 
This is a full-time, on-site seasonal position during tax season.
 
General Managers must have flexible availability, including evenings and weekends during peak periods.
